new lexicon and new snape New take on Snape in Poser Today I went searching for Steve VanderArk's new Lexicon, I read at HP Lexicon that it was available from Januari 20 and one can purchase ist direct from RDR. at the cost of $25,-, however I choked a bit on the mailing costs of $16,- So I did hold back an order. In the shop that had it actuaclly on their list, the American BookCentre in Amsterdam, it turned out that it would cost €40,-, that's with the rate of today about $50,- Now I don't need particulairy sit frontrow for a dime and a half, but still this is a bit of a pile of money for a paperback. The importer of ABC did not had any in stock yet. With this kind of pricing the argument, that the poor kiddo's cannot afford a SVA copy and a fute JKR copy is reemerging it's ugly head. As much I like to support Steve, it's a bit rich for me too. well, another business: TG made a new Snape morph including textures for M4, I like to show it off in a render. Darwin in Alabama ? No, Darwin in Holland 2008. This is something I did not expect in the Netherlands but in Alabama or somewhere in that region. http://www.volkskrant.nl/wetenschap/article1094941.ece/Plannen_christenen_voor_actie_tegen_Darwin You would think that 200 years after Darwin's birthday this would be a sort of dead duck and belonging in the same area as flat Earth and Earth-centered Universe. But no, a long list of religieus folk and organisation seem to think it necessairy to have a door-to-doo action in the way of pamflets to question Darwinism and either promote Creationism as a science or demote Darwinism as a belief. This all to the occasion that Charles Darwin was born in 1809( 200 years ago next year) and they need funding for it. What a waste of money, time and patience. as if Darwinism ever got in the way of Christian values. Not for Darwin himself, his lifelong he stayed quite orthodox and saw the Bibble as the highest source of moral values. you know, in 2010 it's 400 years ago Galileo published his account on observations of Jupiters moon and used that to prove the solar-centred Copernican theory. and 2021 it's 500 years ago Magellan died, more door-to-door actions from the rightness and narrowminded to expect? | | Thursday, October 16th, 2008 | | 6:57 pm |

SEVEN YEARS It's seven years ago by now and as the years before I did make a commemoration render of the event. Sofar I am the only one who posted at a site like Renderosity. not again....!!!! Quote: J.K. Rowling has just filed a lawsuit against the publisher of the London Star Map, PerezHilton.com has learned.
The celebrity map reportedly has details of the Harry Potter author's London residence and clear instructions on how to get there, something Rowling considers 'a gross invasion of privacy'.
In a statement, J.K. Rowling said, "The sole aim of London Star Map is self-evidently to incite, encourage and enable members of the public to track down and locate the exact location of private residences of various recognisable "celebrities" so that they can visit those residences." Rowling continued, "I'm a very private individual who regards my family's privacy and safety as having paramount importance.Source: perezhiltondotcomIs this true? And does anyone has an other source on this then that site that looks awefull gossipy and unreliable. I picked it up at Muggle and thought: "Not again! Is she practising a sort of hobby or so and is having aspiration to become the Mary Whitehouse of the 21st century?" Then I started Googling and found out that there was only one source for this, so I got a bit suspicious. It's a bit too easy to beef up her nickname as Courtroom Jo with lies and slander. But on the other hand it is not the kind of case that contrasts with her character. |
